The spokesperson recognizes that the pressure of immigration thresholds is felt less in the regions, she says she is well aware that certain sectors depend on them. She particularly evokes the reality of educational establishments:

The catering and tourism sectors also rely on the contribution of foreign workers to reduce pressure on the job market.
For her part, the CEO of the Institut du Québec, Emna Braham, invites the government to be careful, because reducing temporary immigration will have an economic price to pay:
