After a night of surveillance, where the firefighters' vigilance was tested by several outbreaks of fire, clearing operations are underway on the upper floors, this Thursday, October 31, the day after the fatal fire which destroyed nearly 100 m² of roof and several apartments in the old town of Annecy.
At the foot of the building, three large metal bins are already full of various charred materials and rubble.
To secure the perimeter of the building, the firefighters are removing the chimneys threatening to fall, including a large five meter one, on the Thiou side.
On the rue Grenette side, where the framework has completely disappeared, the required demolition agents are carrying out the massive evacuation of the tiles and rubble.
