OM-PSG “Before the match I was a little tense… but we destroyed them” says Vincent, member of the CUP

Last night, PSG delivered an almost perfect performance against their rival, with a clear 3-0 and without any mistakes. And despite yet another ban on traveling to the Marseille city, Parisian supporters fully experienced the joy of this victory.

It’s difficult to ask for better than what PSG offered us yesterday at the Vélodrome, at least in the first half, with domination in absolutely all areas of the game, and in the state of mind. The Marseille players were stepped on in intention, in inspiration, in audacity and in character. The only downside: there were no Parisian supporters in Marseille, since Parisians have been banned from traveling to the Classicos since… 2015. Almost 10 years!

Friday, the club organized public training, inviting two associations: Handicap PSG and the CUP, with around a hundred supporters present in total.

Consequence: the players had the support of the supporters in mind, even if they were orphaned once they arrived in Marseille. It was to them that Warren Zaire-Emery’s first words went after the match: “There, we don’t have the supporters to celebrate… This match is for them. We know they can’t come. We had them with us at training two days before. I hope that they are happy and we gave everything for them.”

Happy, the supporters? It looks like it. In any case, this is the impression given by the images of the reception of the players by the ultras, who had arranged to meet at Le Bourget in the middle of the night.

But Le Bourget is not the only place where there was a fire yesterday. Because the club had opened the corners of the Parc des Princes to some of its season ticket holders and there too, during the match, it was on fire. Vincent, a member of the CUPtells us. With smokers roaming freely, and an atmosphere that quickly relaxed as the Parisians marched…

It is possible that some smoke bombs were cracked…
