A fire broke out early in the afternoon in an agricultural building in Bourg-des-Comptes, south of Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). It was 3:51 p.m. when the Ille-et-Vilaine firefighters were alerted.
Four water lances
41 firefighters joined the farm, located at a place called Le Mortier. On site, they discovered an agricultural building with a surface area of 1,500 m², in flames. The said building housed a stock of wood and reserves of straw.
Forty firefighters extinguished the fire using four water hoses. 1,000 m² of the building were destroyed, as well as 66 m³ of wood and 60 tonnes of straw.
The nearby home was not affected and no injuries were reported.
