VIDEO. Machines Show in Toulouse: when the spider Ariane gets its legs caught in a tree and causes a branch to fall on the audience

Small hiccup fortunately without harm. Sunday October 27 in the evening, while the Machines show “The Gate of Darkness” was in full swing, bringing together nearly 1.2 million spectators in the streets of Toulouse, the spider Ariane got its legs caught in a tree of Lafayette Street.

As a result, a large branch gave way in the path of the Giant Machine, not far from the Place du Capitole, causing quite a scare for the public who were following the show. In the video taken by a spectator, despite the recommendations of a security agent who encourages people to “stay on the sidewalk”, the incident which took place in front of the Post Office could not be avoided by the pilots of 'Ariane. The spectators, relieved, assured “they were lucky”.

The Scorpio Woman Also Stuck in a Tree

The spider was not the first machine to encounter difficulties in its movements. Lilith, the scorpion woman, also got stuck in a tree.

From 6 p.m. on Sunday, thousands of spectators were seated on the quays of the Garonne, on the Saint-Pierre bridge or at the Viguerie port, to attend the grand finale of this three-day show, featuring the main characters Asterion, Lilith and Ariane, on the Pont Neuf at 9 p.m.
