Has Ajoie finally found a way to stop the bleeding? The Jura team, which had so far accumulated twelve losses in regulation time and another after extra time, for a single victory, this time managed to pin Lausanne, second in the standings, at the end of a breathtaking series of penalties (5-6).

The team now led by Julien Vauclair had never before, this season, experienced such an offensive celebration away from home. But the red lantern was immediately eye-catching.

A crazy match

Turkulainen (24th) first responded to Bozon’s opener (6th), before Nussbaumer controversially equalized again (32nd) after Rochette had struck again in power play (30th). Kuokkanen (33rd), then Bozon again (38th) undoubtedly thought they had made the break for the Lions, but Ajoie was able to respond each time, with Nättinen (38th), then Devos (41st).

In the third third, the Ajoulots even took the advantage for the first time, thanks to Nättinen again (50th). But a superb solo goal from Glauser (54th) reset the counters to zero before the final siren.

The visitors were still able to exult in the shootout, thanks to Honka’s decisive shot. Ajoie, still at the bottom of the ranking, now has 6 points.

On its ice, Bienne performed well against Rapperswil (3-1). Still trailing 0-1 at the end of the second third, the Icelandic team was able to turn the game around in the final period. Heponiemi sounded the alarm by equalizing (42nd), before Rajala scored twice (59th and 60th) to guarantee the success of the Biennois, who thus moved up to 3rd place in the ranking.

Gottéron falls back into his faults

After two consecutive successes, Fribourg-Gottéron seemed well on track to continue its momentum against Langnau. But the Dragons fell back into their trap again, beaten after penalties by the Tigers (2-3).

The people of Fribourg, however, quickly took matters into their own hands. Dorthe pounced on a rare rebound granted by Charlin to open the scoring (5th), before Sörensen struck in turn (14th). But a double from Pesonen (36th and 51st) allowed the Emmentalois to equalize. However, a victory would have allowed Friborg to leave the relegation zone.

A zone in which Genève-Servette plunged itself while being dominated in Zug (5-1). After conceding two goals by Wingerli (9th) and Vozenilek (18th), the Eagles once again sinned due to a lack of responsiveness in the 3-0, signed by Herzog (22nd).

If Bertaggia managed to reduce the gap immediately (23rd), the Zougois once again stepped on the accelerator to take cover, with a goal from Künzle (27th). Herzog once again completed the Zougoise work in the empty goal (60th).

This National League evening was also marked by the successes of the Zurich Lions in Ambri (1-7) and by Davos at home against Lugano (8-1). Berne had to wait until the end of the match to get rid of Kloten (3-2).
