A bunch of years after his father, Thierry, who in his time was in the heyday of AS Cherbourg and who had also played at ASPTT Caen, Tom Giguet, a pure product of ascist training, emigrated to FC Equeurdreville-Haineville for three years, has been following in his father’s footsteps. “I announced last week to the group that I was stopping with the FCEH (8e of group A of R1 group A). I am joining ASPTT Caen (7e of group F of N3) because from a personal and professional point of view, it will be simpler. I also wanted to reach the national level. I have had other proposals at a higher level but I believe that we must go step by step, not skip the steps and I think that this is the logical next step in my development plan. »
“I think I’ll find such a happy group”

A full season which has its reasons. “I arrived at FCEH without really knowing what was going to happen, I was a little destabilized by the end of my adventure with Cherbourg. My first two years were a bit difficult. I had to find a new rhythm in business – football – personal life knowing that I live in Caen. This year, I did a full preparation. I was able to continue, I didn’t experience any gaps either physically or in terms of confidence. It was quite pleasant. »
The family and supportive spirit of the FCEH should also be found among Caen postal workers known to share these same values. “That’s exactly it. Last year, I went to celebrate their title with them, I know the guys. I think I will find a group as happy and as easy-going as here in Équeurdreville. »
