This Sunday, F1 drivers are on track in Austin to compete in the United States Grand Prix, the start of which is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. French time. Lando Norris will start in pole position ahead of Max Verstappen (P2), Carlos Sainz (P3), Charles Leclerc (P4) and Oscar Piastri (P5).
Note that George Russell, who was to start sixth, will finally start from the pits, since Mercedes broke the parc ferme following his crash. The two Mercedes will therefore start at the back of the peloton with Hamilton only P17.
Pierre Gasly, astonishing seventh in qualifying, thus gains a position and will start from a good sixth place. On the other side of the Alpine garage, Esteban Ocon will start 12th.
The United States Grand Prix will be contested over 56 laps on the COTA track, which features 20 officially listed turns and two DRS zones. Charles Leclerc is currently the race lap record holder in 1:36.169 (2019).
