A forage fire in Saint-Lambert-la-Potherie and a fire in a residential bedroom in Parçay-les-Pins required the intervention of firefighters. No gravity, however.

It’s humid and it’s a real problem on the fodder that has just been brought in. It ferments and self-feeds a fire. This is what happened yesterday on a farm in Saint-Lambert-la-Potherie, in the hamlet of La Farenderie. 500 tonnes of fodder burned all day and for hours under the supervision of firefighters. There were up to 15 of them at the height of the fire which did not cause any further damage.

The firefighters also came in large numbers (16) to Parçay-les-Pins, delegated commune of Noyant-Villages. They put out a house fire which had broken out in a house on rue Beunier. Discomforted, the resident was taken to the Saumur hospital center. She will be rehoused.
