a major update for its latest free game

The latest free game in The Elder Scrolls license receives a major update with many elements particularly requested by players.

Officially released worldwide last September on iOS and Android, The Elder Scrolls Castles is an adaptation of the excellent Fallout Shelter to Bethesda’s cult heroic-fantasy franchise. A month later, it received a major update linked in particular to Halloween, but which also took the opportunity to integrate several welcome features and adjustments in response to player feedback.

Unlike the disappointing The Elder Scrolls Legends and Blades, Castles seems to have enjoyed great success since its worldwide arrival last month. The free mobile game, however, is far from being perfectly refined yet. Bethesda is therefore taking advantage of an October update linked to Halloween to bring features and adjustments appearing repeatedly in players’ list of complaints.

Until November 4, a Witch Festival is taking place in The Elder Scrolls Castles, with the possibility of recovering unique characters and decorations for your castle. The option of resurrecting your subjects is also making its debut, however in exchange for soul gems, which can only be obtained via legendary packs and heirlooms. As for the adjustments made to Castles with the October update, we can cite a Dynasty level cap raised to 300, or the possibility of starting again at level 1 to rebuild your castle.

Players will also be able to connect with their friends via Game Center/Google Plays, or join a competitive leaderboard for the best castles or the best score in a raid. That of Sheogorath also benefits from a significant rebalancing for faster runs with better rewards. Given the seemingly successful launch of Castles, we can bet that other similar updates will arrive over time. A good way to wait until the currently very distant The Elder Scrolls 6?
