A partnership was concluded between the pediatric department of the day hospital, rue Salvador-Allende, and the Simone-Veil media library, Friday October 11. The idea is that children suffering from various disorders aged 6 and 7 can come and participate in readings.
This project was presented to Mayor Jean Denat and his assistant for culture Laurence Emmanuelli by nurses Wilfried Devaux and Céline Delord, in the presence of the director of the media library Mélanie Chrétien. “This project makes sense for the children, it is a two-way integration to open them outside the day hospital,” the nurses said. Children will therefore be able to come to the media library once a week if they wish, in groups of four maximum, on Friday afternoon, to share readings with their chaperones and the public present.
“This partnership fully corresponds to our philosophy and fits well within the framework of the actions that we are carrying out and others that we want to carry out in terms of inclusion, replied the mayor. Just like seeing one day in Vauvert an extraordinary children’s home supported by the municipality or even an Isatis apartment project next to the multi-professional health center.”
