A vehicle was set on fire early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a private property in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, in Montreal. According to the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), “elements found on site suggest arson.”
Authorities were called around 1:40 a.m. Saturday to a vehicle on fire on Rue de Louisbourg, near Rue De Tracy.
On site, firefighters were able to put out the flames. The BMW vehicle was heavily damaged, according to the spokesperson for the SPVM Véronique Dubuc. No one was hurt.
The investigation was transferred to the arson section of the SPVM.
For the moment, there are no arrests in the case, according to Véronique Dubuc. The vehicle was towed and the police left the scene.
