SC – : Mafouta hungry, Kandil too discreet

Thanks to Louis Mafouta ever more determined and precious, SC gleaned its fifth victory of the seasonthis Saturday against . From 3 to 7, discover our ratings after this match counting for the 9th day of Ligue 2.

Man of the match

Who else but him? Three days after returning to alone, Louis Mafouta (7) once again carried Amiens SC against Ajaccio. After only 17 seconds of play, he went for another penalty thanks to profitable pressing on François-Joseph Sollacaro. At the end of the match, he sealed Amiens’ victory with another converted penalty, wrong-footing the Corsican goalkeeper for a second time. Between the two, the Central African international ran to the four corners of the field, was invaluable with his back to the game and he came very close to offering Antoine Leautey the break goal in the 5th minute of play. A real match of warrior.

The satisfactions

Entered in the 50th minute of play, Frank Boya (NN) refloated an Amiens ship which had been rocking dangerously since the end of the first period. Beyond having brought his impact, in a midfield that was sorely lacking in it, the Cameroonian above all showed the way with his dynamism and his ability to project himself high to press and even try his luck (60′). Enough to bring a beneficial second wind to his team, which gradually – in his wake – took over the flow of the match.

After a first consistent period, Owen Gene (6) clearly raised his voice after returning from the locker room. As if freed by the entry into play of Frank Boya, the number 29 of Amiens SC did not hesitate to press higher, recovering several balls at the origin of his team’s best chances at the end of the match. Rather technically fair (85% successful passes, 8 lost balls), he seems to be gaining strength after a start to the season well below his standards.

The disappointments

Back in the starting lineup, Rayan Lutin (3) did not spark. Far from it, even. If he moved quite a bit on the attacker’s front, ultimately being very rarely in the axis, the Comorian never had an impact on events. As proof, he finished the match with only 24 balls touched, none in the opposing penalty area, for 8 ball losses. Suffering physically, he lost the majority of his duels (3/9). His exit, concomitant with the entry of Frank Boya, made it possible to reverse the balance of power.

Supposed to take control of the game in this type of match, Nordine Kandil (4) finally embodied an Amiens SC team which lacked maturity and control, especially in the first period. No doubt cooled by his first choice of passes, the former resident then decided to make the difference alone. It was bad for him. He has, most often, broken his teeth against the opposing defense (8/17 duels, 2/5 dribbles, 20 lost balls). He too has only too often been found on the outskirts of the zone of truth.
