Romain Gutierrez (captain Gap): “Everyone had a great match, it’s great. We put things back together. It’s true that since the start of the season the game hasn’t been crazy, but especially in the intensity, which we’ve found over the past two matches. With a three-goal lead, we are going a little less into the duels, Nice is coming back strong but we were able to keep the focus in the last 5 minutes, even if Nice had possession. The special teams worked well, that also made the difference.”
Nicolas Ruel (Nice striker): “It’s hard, it’s frustrating. We play for a good 20 minutes, then there is this second third which totally screws us up. In the 3ewe take too many penalties even if we come back in the last 7 minutes. If we play like that all the time, we can beat everyone. We have to stay positive and quickly forget this match because we have one on Sunday in Grenoble. »
