. Track Worlds: Victoire Berteau (VC ) takes 4th place in the omnium

Victoire Berteau has long hoped to finish on the podium on Friday, October 18, when she entered the World Track Championships. In Ballerup (Denmark), the VC graduate finally finished in fourth place in the omnium.

Already fourth after the first three components of the event (the scratch, the tempo and the elimination race), with a total of 98 points, the Axonaise did not manage to climb further, finishing at the end of the points race with a nest egg of 107 units. Fall on elimination

“It’s always a disappointment to finish fourth,” declared the Axonaise at the end of her race. She regretted “a lack of experience, and daring perhaps” in this combined event which is on the program of the Olympic Games. “It’s still a fourth place in a first omnium World Championship but to come so close to the podium is a disappointment. Maybe I didn’t believe it enough.” she lamented, notably suffering a fall during the elimination test.

The tricolor counter remains stuck at one medal
