Women’s PSG-Fleury (2-1): suffers but wins and takes the lead in the Arkema Premier League

Nothing was easy in this meeting for the Parisiennes. Under the watchful eye of coach Laurent Bonadéi, the women’s PSG ended up winning against the neighbors of Fleury but Fabrice Abriel’s players were kept in check for a long time.

At the campus, the opening score for the Parisiennes came in the 37th minute after a lot of work from Romee Leuchter. On the right side, the Dutch striker resists Inès Jaurena before crossing back for Korbin Albert who, alone six meters away, easily deceives goalkeeper Constance Picaud.

At the break, the Parisiennes, generally dominant but without appearing very dangerous, logically lead 1-0. But the Essonniennes, well in place, equalized shortly after the hour mark from a corner. Aïssata Traoré wins in two stages in the Parisian area and places a half-volley with her right foot between the legs of Mary Earps.

It ultimately took a big mistake in restarting the Fleury rearguard for Sakina Karchaoui, well thrown into the area by Grace Geyoro, to give PSG the advantage with a nice shot from the left (2-1, 80th) .

It will also and above all take a monumental save from Mary Earps on a powerful strike from outside the area by Marine Dafeur to maintain this score and secure a precious victory in the standings (88th). With five wins in as many matches, PSG temporarily regains the lead in while awaiting OL’s trip to FC (4th), this Sunday (3 p.m.), at Charléty.
