Moonspell in symphony concert in Lisbon, broadcast live around the world

On October 26, 2024, Portuguese dark metal pioneers Moonspell will perform their first ever symphony concert, titled Diabolical workat the MEO Arena in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. This exceptional concert, where the power of Moonspell metal will meet the majesty of classical music thanks to the Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra, composed of 45 musicians and led by maestro Vasco Pearce de Azevedo, will be broadcast live around the world.

A historic event not to be missed

This concert, which will also be recorded for future release on DVD/Blu-ray and as a live album via Napalm Records, marks a historic moment not only for Moonspell, but also for the Portuguese metal scene. The first balcony for this show is already sold out, and there are only a hundred tickets left for the golden circle. A new chapter in Moonspell’s career

Earlier this year, Moonspell singer Fernando Ribeiro spoke about a possible new album to follow up Hermitagereleased in 2021. He told Chaoszine: “We love making new music, but we have to wait, because I don’t think we’ll have a new album until 2025 or even 2026.” Ribeiro also mentioned that the next album will have to be “truly special” and not be done “on autopilot”emphasizing the importance for the group to take their time for this future production.
