He had reacted earlier during this press conference to the death of Yahya Sinouar, the leader of Hamas, killed by the Israeli army.

He denounced Thursday evening a “lack of professionalism” ministers and journalists, accusing them of having “distorted” his comments on Israel. “All this is proof, basically, of a disintegration of the public debate and a lack of professionalism”, castigated the president French in Brussels.

Particularly upset, Emmanuel Macron pointed the finger at “ministers” who “repeated distorted comments”, “journalists who repeated them and commentators who did not focus on the reality and truth of such comments”.
“When I have something to say, I make a press release or a press conference. That’s ethics. There are no others,” he said.
On October 15, according to participants, Emmanuel Macron told his ministers that Benyamin Netanyahu “must not free himself from UN decisions”, and “not forget that his country was created by a decision of the UN”. An allusion to the vote in November 1947 by the United Nations General Assembly of the plan to divide Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state.
