Relegated from National 1, SAS Épinal has already played 7 days in its N2 championship this season. Currently in the middle of the table, 8th out of 16, the men of Nicolas Rabuel, who arrived this summer on the Spinal bench, hope to win this Saturday against AS Furiani Agliani to switch to the right side of the ranking. This match will also be an opportunity for the Bway Dread of Spinaux (BDS) to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

As we recall, SAS Épinal experienced an eventful off-season, marked by the arrival of a new coach and numerous adjustments to the squad. After seven days, the club has a balanced record of three wins, one draw and three defeats. A transition phase which was not easy for the players, as Jérémy Colin, emblematic SAS midfielder, explains: “It’s a new season with a new coach and therefore quite a few changes. We have to create automatisms, and it may take a little time, but the group is alive and moving forward well. Today, the objective is to take it match by match to try to collect as many points as possible. »

Currently, Sébastien Chere’s teammates are five lengths from first place and enjoy a six-point lead in the relegation zone. Enough to pose a dilemma on the direction to follow in this tight championship, but Jérémy Colin remains clear: “We always have to look forward but like I said, we take it game by game. » A pragmatic strategy to approach the next meetings, starting with this Saturday against AS Furiani Agliani for a confrontation which promises to be competitive. “We know that Furiani is a good team, strong and well established. There will be intensity and duels. » An important meeting for the Spinaliens, who hope to confirm their great victory obtained in two weeks ago, as well as their qualification for the Coupe de against Behonne-Longeville (R2) last Saturday.

BDS celebrates 10 years of unconditional support

In parallel with this sporting duel, a very special event will mark this day: the Bway Dread of Spinaux (BDS), an emblematic group of supporters of SAS Épinal, will celebrate their 10th anniversary. For the occasion, their president, Sébastien Brulet, looks back on this decade of passion and commitment within the forum: “Ten years, damn it!” When the group was created, many told us that it wouldn’t last long… and yet, this Saturday, we will celebrate our 10th anniversary. It’s a great source of pride for the five of us at the start! We traveled miles for this jersey, for this city. And fortunately, young supporters continue to support their local team to keep the group alive. So, don’t hesitate any longer and join us! » The president of the BDS kop also thanks the SAS Épinal for its support: “Thank you to the club for establishing a dialogue three years ago, which allows us to realize our projects. Thanks also to the players who don’t hesitate to put their hands in their pockets when we don’t have invitations. » He concludes by calling for the mobilization of supporters to make this anniversary an unforgettable moment: “Come on Saturday to party!” Meet at Place des Vosges from 3:45 p.m. Long live SAS Épinal and long live BDS! »

Jérémy Colin, for his part, also paid tribute to the loyalty of the BDS: “I wanted to congratulate them for their longevity to the club and all the miles they have traveled to support us. I wish them to continue for a long time and to have more and more members in their group to support the SAS. »
With a great match to come and an important celebration for its loyal supporters, this Saturday promises to be festive for SAS Épinal, both on the pitch and in the stands. All that’s missing is one victory for the evening to be a complete success.
