While the GMC Sierra EV will be sold in Canada in the coming months, Chevrolet decided to almost completely overhaul its range Silverado EV for 2025. My colleague, Samuel Lessard, has also written an article which describes all the changes made to the range.
Following this redesign, only the prices were missing. This is now done since Chevrolet Canada has just revealed the 2025 prices. How much does the Chevrolet Silverado EV cost in Canada? Here is the price list and the autonomy announced for each version.
Versions | Battery | Estimated autonomy | Base price |
---|---|---|---|
Work Truck | Standard | Future | 66 899 $ |
Extended | Up to 679 km | 78 899 $ | |
Max | up to 792 km | 85 099 $ | |
LT | Extended | Up to 657 km | 95 099 $ |
RST | Extended | Up to 628 km | 116 599 $ |
Max | Up to 740 km | 120 599 $ |
Offered at a base price of $78,070 in 2024, the Chevrolet Silverado EV becomes a little more affordable thanks to its WT version with standard autonomy, a livery which will however be marketed a little later in the 2025 range. The manufacturer comes here to emulate Ford’s strategy in the case of its Ford Lightning, is to offer a model that offers a more modest autonomy, but which is more affordable. Ford, for its part, did the same by making its fleet model available to everyone.
Two other WT versions are also offered; they are distinguished by their autonomy. The other new thing is the availability of the LT version which bridges the gap between the base version and the most opulent version, the RST. At a base price of $95,099, we’re talking about a price of around $20,000 less than the RST livery. It offers an interesting alternative for those who do not want to exceed the $100,000 mark.
For its part, the RST version also benefits from two variants this year which are distinguished mainly by their autonomy.
What is the range of the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV?
The range of the Chevrolet Silverado is currently between 670 and 740 kilometers; we will have to wait a little before obtaining the figures for the WT version with standard autonomy since they have not yet been published.
In terms of engine, the base version, the Silverado EV WT (Work Truck), is equipped with 2 electric motors which develop a total of 510 horsepower and produce a torque of 580 pound-feet. This engine is suitable for those who mainly use their van for work.
The high-end version, the Silverado EV RST, pushes performance with its dual engine which delivers up to 760 horsepower and 785 pound-feet in “Wide Open Watts” mode. As for the new LT livery, its power will be 645 horsepower.
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will enter Canadian dealerships in a few weeks.
