The F80, a hybrid car with a butterfly door, is at the heart of Ferrari’s rollout strategy, which aims to maintain the interest of its wealthy customers, as the Italian automaker prepares to launch its first purely electric car late next year. The F80 “is the car that raises the level of our range”said Enrico Galliera, marketing and sales director, during his presentation in Maranello, Ferrari’s hometown. “It’s a car that we hope will make history for years to come.” he added.

Ferrari’s “supercars” are high-end models that the brand launches once a decade and which include innovative technological features. The first, called GTO, was launched 40 years ago, the most recent being the 2013 LaFerrari, remarketed in a convertible version in 2016.
