In , two building bars deprived of electricity after a cellar fire in the Kerbernier district

It is a priori a mattress which caught fire in a cellar at 65, rue de Kermenguy, Kerbernier district in , this Tuesday, October 15, 2024 around 6:20 p.m., opposite the Netto store. Significant resources were deployed: nine vehicles and almost 40 firefighters. The stairwell of this ten-story building was filled with smoke. The fire was quickly extinguished and the area ventilated.

One person was inconvenienced by the fumes and treated on site but there was no evacuation to hospital. Some residents who were outside had to stay there for almost an hour, despite the pouring rain.

On the upper floors, fourteen occupants were confined for the same period of time, until approximately 7:30 p.m. A lady stuck in the elevator for a while was able to be extricated.

The fire actually melted electrical cables and, for safety reasons, the electricity and gas to two building blocks were cut off. In all, 173 apartments were deprived of it. Enedis tried to restore the situation as best as possible this Tuesday evening. The police also intervened to try to establish precisely what happened.
