Wissam Ben Yedder, the former captain of AS Monaco, is on trial for having drunkenly sexually assaulted a woman in her twenties on the night of September 6 to 7, in the underground parking lot of his residence of the Alpes-Maritimes. Without a club since the end of his contract at AS Monaco this summer, the striker has been subject to strict judicial control while awaiting this trial. He was prohibited from going to bars or nightclubs, or even from leaving his home between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., and even from leaving the Alpes-Maritimes department. He was also required to receive treatment for his alcohol addiction and he had to clock in twice a week.

Rape accusations
