Walid Sadi presents his condolences to the family of the deceased

Following the announcement of the death of the former international referee and former president of the Algerian Federation, the current president of the FAF, Walid Sadi, presented his condolences to the family of the deceased.

“It is with great sadness that the President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid SADI learned the unfortunate news of the death of the former international referee and former president of the FAF, Belaïd Lacarne, which occurred this Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in almost 84 years old,” it is mentioned in the press release from the federal body.

The document recalls that “Belaïd LACARNE, an emblematic figure of Algerian arbitration, has long chaired the Federal Arbitration Commission and served for several years as a member of the FIFA and CAF arbitration committees. He also officiated at the 1982 World Cup in Spain. In this painful circumstance, President Walid SADI sends, on behalf of the members of the federal office, his most saddened condolences to the family of the deceased as well as to the great family of Algerian football. May Almighty God welcome the deceased into His vast paradise and may his soul rest in peace. To God we belong and to Him we return,” the statement concluded.
