Why should you see Nicolas Lacroix’s show, “Trop Gentil”?

Since the start of the September school year, several comedians have been offering their new shows. If several French-speaking artists present, in fact, unique and personal creations, one of the humorous nuggets of recent weeks comes straight from Belgium.

Indeed, Nicolas Lacroix has been presenting at Point-Virgule, for several weeks, Too . The starting point of his story? The young man has always been incapable of saying “no”. However, behind his discreet and shy persona, the artist thinks no less, to the point of making fun of his coming-outto worry about the future of the French language when Aya Nakamura and Wejdene are among the most listened to artists, or to question depression when your psychologist is a voice assistant.

Too nice, too funny

Between characters as excessive as they are enjoyable and nostalgic comments on his unique vision of the world, Nicolas Lacroix offers with Too Nice a funny one-on-one, launched at 1000 miles an hour. Thanks to sketches imagined as burlesque situations, improvisations with the audience, and a well-chosen playlist, the Belgian comedian deploys a range of hilarious characters. We thus meet Dave at the Festival, a Jesus addicted to social networks, or even the hypnotist Messmer.

The artist thus unfolds his universe thanks to his overflowing and communicative energy and does not hesitate to push the limits of his register – as evidenced by the last hilarious part with a priest very focused on the blood of Christ during the mass – to do better laugh at his audience and take them into his madness.

The show nonetheless remains particularly sensitive, with Nicolas Lacroix also personifying the issues of his generation. A generation with whom he interacts on social networks, notably via TikTok, and whom he recognizes every Thursday at Point-Virgule in a packed room. It must be said that with his 2 million subscribers on the platform, the artist has been able to convince a large community. There is no doubt that with his first show presented in , but also currently on tour, Nicolas Lacroix will be able to obtain the favor of the public. And we don’t say that because we’re “Too nice”.

Too Niceby Nicolas Lacroix, at Point-Virgule every Thursday at 7 p.m. until December 12, 2024 and on tour throughout until April 19, 2025.
