The weather has clearly been yo-yoing in Marseille in recent days. After the heavy rains which caused the flooding of the Old Port last week, the mercury this Tuesday, October 15, was close to 30 degrees.

But from this evening, two weather alerts will affect the Marseille city : yellow storm and rain-flood alerts. Here’s everything you need to know.

Thunderstorm and rain-flood alerts

Barely time to get used to the friendly temperatures when the sky soon turns bad. Météo is in fact triggering a rain-flood alert for the Bouches-du-Rhône department from 10 p.m. this evening. It will be active until tomorrow Wednesday, at 10 a.m.

Tomorrow, the storm warning takes over. It will be current between midnight and 6 a.m.

A situation to follow

In other words, it is a question of remaining cautious during your outings and activities and not hesitating to follow the evolution of the situation in real time directly on the Météo France website.

Uncertainties remain in fact about the intensity of these stormy rains, forecasters announce. “A worsening of vigilance therefore remains possible, and it will be appropriate to remain informed of theevolution of vigilance in the coming hoursespecially since this disrupted weather associated with lasting rain will persist at least until Thursday evening,” we can read on the Météo France website.
