As part of the preservation of the Ankarafantsika National Park, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MEDD) decided on Friday to strengthen its commitment by installing high-tech equipment in the park and various tools . This is how the MEDD, with the collaboration of Madagascar National Parks (MNP) and their partners, installed a fire control room in Ankarafantsika, equipped with satellite imaging technologies. This installation makes it possible to detect fire outbreaks in real time, thus facilitating rapid and effective intervention.

Training was also provided to patrol officers, responsible for monitoring and fighting fires, during this Friday in Ankarafantsika, in the rural commune of Andranofasika, in the Ambato-Boeny district. The ceremony closed with the presentation to participants of certificates of commitment to fighting fires.
