Also called the “hunter’s moon”, this full moon will be the largest and brightest of the year 2024. The natural satellite will then be closest to Earth, at a distance of 357,364 kilometers, according to the Meteovista meteorological platform.

The full moon will take place on Thursday at 1:26 p.m., but we can already observe it from Wednesday. It will remain round for three days. For the second time this year, it will be a supermoon. The first took place last month, but the one in October is announced as the biggest and brightest of the year. A supermoon is about 7% larger and 14% brighter than a regular full moon.

The full moon on October 17 promises to be chaotic for these three signs!

According to Meteovista, the weather forecast this week is rather favorable for observing the night star. “Clouds will cross the sky, but there will also be large clearings which will make it easy to see the moon.”

This November will be the Full Beaver Moon, which will occur on November 15th. Finally, the last full moon of 2024 will occur on December 15.
