The incident occurred Saturday afternoon in a building belonging to the Weifang Jinshi company, Xinhua news agency said, citing local emergency service officials.
Rescuers were quickly deployed to assist survivors, while an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, according to local authorities.

Xinhua reported, citing the local emergency management office in Shouguang, a city about 380 kilometers southeast of Beijing.
Industrial accidents remain common in China, often due to insufficient safety training and inadequate prevention protocols.
In January, another industrial incident left eight people dead in a factory in Jiangsu province. In May 2023, nine people were killed in the explosion at a hydrogen peroxide production factory in Liaocheng, another city in Shandong province, where Saturday’s accident also took place.
