Regarding the firearms he had in his possession, Vem Miller indicated that they were all declared to the authorities and assured that he bought them after receiving death threats.

“I always travel with my firearms in the back of my truck,” he said, assuring that he never uses them and is “more than a novice” on the subject.

On his political opinions, the American says he was a Democrat, but is now “more Republican”. “I am a 100% supporter of Donald Trump,” he proclaims.

“He’s a man I deeply admire,” says Vem Miller, calling the real estate mogul “courageous” for attacking the media.

• Released on bail and soon presented to justice

“Former President Trump was not in danger,” said the Secret Service in a joint statement with the FBI (federal police) and the office of the Minister of Justice.

“If you ask me right now, my agents probably prevented the third assassination attempt” against Donald Trump, Sheriff Chad Bianco said at a press conference. This elected official is known for his support for the ex-president and who spoke at the meeting on Saturday evening.

The FBI, Secret Service and Justice Department jointly said the investigation is still open and continuing.

Released Saturday evening on bail of 5,000 dollars (a little more than 4,500 euros), Vem Miller must appear in court on January 2.
