the essential
It has become a true tradition anchored in Counozouls. The deer bellowing festival was a success, once again. Visitors are already looking forward to next year.

Like every year, on a Saturday in October, the traditional Brame du Cerf festival organized by the hunters of Counozouls, a small picturesque village in the Madres Massif in the Pyrenees Audoises, took place.

Throughout the day, the world of nature and hunting was represented and allowed to be discovered.

The three technicians from the Aude Hunting Federation, Stéphane Azéma, Laurent Gasc and Jean-Charles Gleizes, supported the values of biodiversity during a conference. The Archers de l’Aude offered an archery activity for everyone. Christian Abadie and his pipers moved the public with their hunting horn concert in the church.

Exhibitors, such as Gérard Cézéra and his magnificent animal photos, Christian Rougé and Pascal Farre highlighted an impressive collection of deer molts, and artisans and small producers completed the range of entertainment on offer.

At dusk, the deer, stars of the day, debated their vocal abilities in front of more than 400 people.

Before closing this beautiful day highlighting hunting, animals, conviviality and sharing, a meal offered by the Acca hunters, including their famous doe burger, delighted the guests. See you next year!
