And not just any: Florent Manaudou, who had already come to the nautical center and for a completely different reason, a year before. “It’s not a city I’ve visited a lot because last year I didn’t stay long and I arrived yesterday (Friday, editor’s note). But I know that for years, it has been one of the best meetings in France,” he explains at a press conference, shortly after showing his talents in the pools.

The questions finished, and although his mood seemed not conducive to exercise, the athlete still took part in the photos and autographs. Which delighted his many fans making up the long queue leading to his table. Among them, little Romeo, 7 years old, French Olympic team jersey on his back, accompanied by his mother Julie. “I saw him swimming yesterday (Friday, editor’s note) and this morning,” he detailed shortly before getting into the queue.
Before her mother Julie adds: “It’s rewarding. While he might only do large meetings, he remains accessible for people. And then it can pull the little ones up. » Young Romeo was able to have his autograph and his photo. Just like a slew of other admirers of all ages, including Jonathan, 39, and Sébastien, having taken a photo, although he had already taken one, some time ago, with the swimmer: “It’s It’s a pleasure to see him again.” No doubt many will remember this edition of the International Swimming Meeting!
