Sunday October 13, 2024, on the occasion of World Day dedicated to animal rights and welfare, numerous events are organized in the city center of Tours. The City thus wants to better familiarize the population with the animals that we encounter in the city. This year, urban animals of all kinds will be in the spotlight, whether they are those we want or those we want to see a little less.
Several activities
Throughout this day, visitors will be able to discover the work of associations such as Sepant or Sauve qui plume. A focus will be on Tour’isson, one of the winning projects of the participatory budget, consisting of making small shelters for hedgehogs.
Stands around wildlife will be available with games, led by a member of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), to discover urban wildlife and to learn how to protect and preserve it. Not to mention exhibitions on pollination and horses. The LPO will host a treasure hunt where participants will have to look for images of these birds hidden in the garden.
