More and more French people of Algerian origin are leaving for the country of their elders to establish a business there and, sometimes, find a less “Islamophobic” climate.

At 39, after having succeeded in France in “foodtech” – he created with Fatiha, his wife, Pap and Pille, a company manufacturing miniaturized biscuits in the form of balls – this Frenchman born in Pontarlier (Doubs) chose to emigrate to Algeria to launch new projects. “One day, I asked my father, an 88-year-old Algerian, who sacrificed a lot for his children: how can I make you proud of me? He replied that he would have liked to create something in Algeria. While he had always gone to his home country as a tourist, in December 2023, he went there to meet entrepreneurs. Since then, the marketing strategy consultant has launched Creator Studio there, which offers recording studios in a building for content creators. He is working on a concept for a show – a Star Academy for entrepreneurs – and, in 48 hours, he raised more than 45 million dinars (around 300,000 euros).
