The Génération Le Théron association brought together a large part of the village and its surroundings for a day of reunion under the sign of conviviality and friendship, all generations combined.
The day began with a tractor and hiking trip towards the village of Garric for a coffee break. The aperitif was an opportunity to welcome the new residents present: the Constantin couple (former Llanas house).
A special day this year, marked by the disappearance of a member of the association. The residents paid tribute to their friend José Cadilhac, creator of the youth center, and the opportunity for his family to unveil a souvenir painting retracing the major stages in the life of the association.
José was an emblematic figure of the village to which he was deeply attached, courageous, involved, outgoing, friendly and knew how to do good around him. He gave a lot of his time and energy. He knew how to create a dynamic and bring together all the goodwill around him. In 1968, he managed to relaunch the village festival with the help of a group of friends. In 1972, he created the Théron youth center association within which a football team played. In 1975, he brought together the young people and children of the village in a theater workshop. The winnings collected allowed all the actors and their staff to visit the most beautiful corners of France.
Her professional life had taken her far from Théron but all her free time was devoted to it. The family has made available numerous photos of the various activities at the youth center compiled by José. All these images have been put into albums and can be consulted at Oustalou.
This day also made it possible to formalize the new name of the association, which thus becomes Génération Le Théron.
