Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz: Where to watch, schedule, live streaming details and more

24-time Major champion Novak Djokovic will face Taylor Fritz in the semifinals of the Shanghai Masters on Saturday, October 12. The Serb commenced his quest for a fifth title at the venue, and the 100th of his career, with a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (9) win over Alex Michelsen.

Djokovic was at his dominant best in the next round as he easily beat Flavio Cobolli 6-1, 6-2. Roman Safiullin didn’t offer him any challenge either, and moved past him with a 6-3, 6-2 win.

Czech teen Jakub Mensik brought the fight to him in the quarterfinals. The former World No. 1 rallied from a set down to register a 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-4 victory. Fritz, meanwhile, has been in great form at the Shanghai Masters, and hasn’t dropped a set thus far.

Fritz ousted Terence Atmane, Yosuke Watanuki, Holger Rune, and David Goffin in straight sets to reach his first semifinal at the venue. He has also reached the last four at a Masters 1000 event for the fifth time in his career.

Fritz will now face his toughest task yet as he has a 0-9 record against Djokovic. The latter won their most recent encounter in the quarterfinals of this year’s Australian Open in four sets. Given the Serb’s form at the moment, another win isn’t out of the question.
