Its category dedicated to Poetry rewards a collection of poems, a collective poetic anthology or an entire poetic work. The one highlighting Prose distinguishes a novel, a collection of short stories or an entire work in prose.

These prizes are awarded to works published on behalf of a publisher within two years preceding the deadline for submission of applications. Reissues are not eligible, and each author can only submit one book.
The call for applications opened on May 23, 2024 and closed on June 23. The first selection was published in August, followed by the second in September, before the awards ceremony in October 2024.
The prizes were awarded by a jury chaired by Étienne Denarié (president of the Rotary Club of Paris), accompanied by Sylvestre Clancier (writer and honorary president of the French PEN Club), Emmanuel Maury (senior civil servant and writer, vice-president of AFAL), Nicolas Idier (writer and senior civil servant) and Fabienne Leloup (writer and member of the steering committee of the French PEN Club).
Also present were personalities such as Jacques Toubon (former Minister of Culture), Paul de Sinety (general delegate for the French language and the languages of France at the Ministry of Culture) and Christine Desouches (vice-president of the Académie des overseas sciences).
