Fire near Toulouse. The fire ignites a 100 m² garage and extends to the house

A garage on fire. This is what the firefighters found SDIS 31 (Haute-Garonne departmental fire and rescue service) this Friday, October 11, 2024, following an emergency call from the municipality of Gémilnear Toulouse.

Seven engines and 26 firefighters deployed

Arriving on site shortly after noon, firefighters attacked the fire using two water lances. “The 100 m² garage was completely engulfed in flames with the beginning of propagation at home,” indicates the SDIS.

The disaster is currently being extinguished. A victim was treated and is being assessed by rescuers. His state of health is currently unknown.

Electrical problem?

Seven machines and 26 firefighters are on the scene. An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie to determine theexact origin of the disaster, perhaps an electrical problem.
