On BFMTVthe Minister of Justice Didier Migaud announced, Thursday October 10, 2024, that the extradition request against the suspect in the murder of Philippine, detained in Switzerland, “was completed on time”. The request was “made yesterday”, said the Minister of Justice.

“France will insist that this person be tried in France”

Three days after the discovery of the body of the 19-year-old girl in the de Boulogne, Friday September 20, a 22-year-old man was arrested in Geneva, Switzerland. Of Moroccan nationality, he was already known to the courts and was subject to an obligation to leave the territory (OQTF).

The public prosecutor’s office has opened a judicial investigation, particularly for homicide and rape. An investigating judge who is in charge of the investigation.

Switzerland may refuse to extradite the 22-year-old young man. “France will insist that this person be tried in France,” assured Didier Migaud at the microphone of our colleagues.
