Vice President of the United States and 2024 presidential candidate against Donald Trump, Kamala Harris has admitted to being a true F1 fan, even supporting a certain Lewis Hamilton.
When politics invites itself to the Formula 1 table, it is a sign that the discipline is making headlines. While the race for the White House is in full swing between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, the latter has declared her interest in F1, even citing Lewis Hamilton as her favorite driver.
As part of her campaign, the Vice President of the United States made an appearance on Howard Stern’s show. During this interview, she revealed that she “loved” F1 just like his entire family… a feat in the land of NASCAR and IndyCar.

Harris : “The whole family loves it” F1
“It’s so good. We love it. The whole family loves it,” she explained. However, her meetings as well as her obligations as a candidate for the 2024 American presidential election caused her to miss many races this season.
“I actually haven’t been able to watch them recently because I’m campaigning, and also because depending on where they’re rolling, the time of day, you have to wake up [tôt].” Indeed, American F1 fans have to deal with time differences, because many races take place very early in the morning for them.
When asked who her favorite pilot was, Kamala Harris quickly said: “Lewis Hamilton, of course. He leaves Mercedes.”
The one who was Joe Biden’s vice-president for the last four years also encouraged listeners of Howard Stern’s show to watch F1, at the risk of becoming completely addicted.
