Seven vehicles impacted by a fire in : one month later, the investigation is still ongoing

The events date back to September 10 and took place in the free parking lot of the Marché du Lez.

After spending a pleasant evening in a restaurant in the Marché du Lez, a woman who had parked her car in the free car park, almost directly above the A709 bridge, had the unpleasant surprise of finding it half-burned, around 11:30 p.m.

The facts date back to Tuesday September 10. Since then, an investigation has been underway. The causes of this fire remain undetermined at this time.

Range Rover caught fire

That evening, firefighters and police intervened shortly after 10 p.m. to contain a car fire impacting seven vehicles.

The cars ended up in wrecks.

Investigations established that the fire had started in a Range Rover before spreading to a Peugeot convertible, a Hyundai and a Dacia Sandero, all ravaged by the flames.

Other ashes discovered on site

Two Peugeot 208 and 308 and an Audi A1 were more slightly damaged.

Ashes discovered on site suggest that this is not the first time that vehicles have gone up in smoke.
