World Disability Day with Les Etincelles 72

One month after the end of the Paralympic Games in , and as we celebrate World Disability Day on October 9, we are putting the spotlight on a very young association that wishes to mobilize and unite around disability.

Unlike other associations which only talk about a deficiency, Sparks 72 want to be inclusive, as Damien Planchon, their president, explains: “Our goal is to bring together different types of disabilities. For a little over a year, Sparks 72 are therefore doing everything they can to ensure that we only talk about disability every four years, at the time of the Games. “Even if this year, the lighting and the impact were more important because they took place in Paris. »

So to continue to shed light on inclusion in society, Damien Planchon and his team are teeming with ideas. “We are organizing a evening meetings and board games once a month in the Saint-Georges-du- area and we would also like to offer them in . But at the moment, we do not have premises… » Call launched to the municipality of Le Mans and its mayor, Stéphane Le Foll! And in the pipeline, there is even a project for a disability market where creators could exhibit their objects. But everything is conditioned by additional partners and donors.
