UK will “not weaken” in “quest for peace”, promises Keir Starmer
“We will not waver in our quest for peace, and on this day of pain and sorrow, we honor those we have lost and remain committed to recovering those still held hostage, helping those who are suffering, and ensuring a better future in the Middle East »writes British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on X, on the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.
“The region cannot endure another year like this. Civilians on all sides have suffered too much. All parties must step back from the brink and find the courage to restrain. There is no military solution to these challenges”he also pleaded before the House of Commons, recalling that, during the Hamas attack, “fifteen British citizens had been brutally killed and [qu’]another had since died in captivity”.
