A number of personalities from cinema and public life have paid tribute in recent days to the memory and career of Michel Blanc. The actor died on the night of Thursday October 3 to Friday October 4, of a heart attack.
If the causes of his death raise questions and have given rise to rumors (BFMTV mentions anaphylactic shock due to a contrast agent), Michel Blanc’s health has always been a subject in itself. The actor did not hide his hypochondriawhich resulted, according to him, from the overprotection of his parents since his earliest childhood.
“[L’hypocondrie] is more linked to the heart murmur detected at my birth. I was raised on cotton. I was constantly told that I was fragilethat doesn’t reassure”, declared Michel Blanc to our colleagues at Paris Matchin 2015.
The actor was diagnosed with a heart murmur in his early childhood, causing concern among his parents. “My father would sometimes say to me: ‘Don’t raise your arms too much in the air because of your heart’”, confided the actor, recounting that even at school, this “weakness” had earned him not to be too heckled: “A little tough guy told me: ‘I’m not even going to beat the shit out of you, you have a heart condition’”.
In 2010, to Le Figaro, he admitted that “for a very slight pain, or a new redness, [il consultait]”. “I always imagine the worst. There is the fear of death behind…”, he added….
