Sunday October 6, 2024, around fifty people participated in a white march in Maizières-les Metz in Moselle, in homage to Maxime Vacant. It is his brother Romain, 32 years old, who is the organizer, “It’s the third.” The whole family is there. “It’s worse than last year, confides his mother. It’s a pain that grows every day.”
At the moment there is a lot of misunderstanding. “The goal today was to make yourself heardexplains Maxime’s father. Even the lawyer has no news, he can’t tell us anything. It’s too long.”
Sandy was Maxime’s girlfriend. “We are here to support, so as not to forget what happened. It’s really painful.”
Two years after the incident, we still haven’t been told anything.
“Today, what we have is mainly incomprehension. We still have no trial date. However, the investigation has been completed for more than a year. Two years after the events, they still tell us nothing, is sorry Romain. “Justice is slow, too slow, it’s too long. We have no news. The main suspect has been released. Frankly, we don’t understand.”

This Sunday, October 6, the white march left the family’s home, rue Clément-Kieffer in Maizières-lès-Metz. It ended at the same place where Maxime was found dead, between the square and the Saint-Joseph chapel, in the Cité des Écarts in Maizières-lès-Metz.
