Togo: death of Minister Pré Simféitchéou

In Togo, the announcement of the death of Minister Pré Simféitchéou is the information that has mobilized the press in recent hours.

The former Chief of Staff at the Prime Minister’s Office passed away according to several consistent sources.

The advisor to the Presidency of the Republic with the rank of minister died this Sunday, October 6, 2024 around 6 a.m.

Suffering for a while, Pré Simféitchéou’s state of health is said to have worsened in recent weeks and it is in this context that the former minister breathed his last this Sunday.

At the Prime Minister’s Office, he held the position of Chief of Staff for 12 years, from 2008 to 2020.

Subsequently, he was called to other functions by being assigned to the Presidency of the Republic.

There, Pré Simféitchéou worked as a Planning Advisor with the rank of minister for several years.

Also, the former minister was an important member of the ruling party, that of the President of the Republic, Unir.

Even if the relatives of the deceased have already confirmed the news, the Presidency of the Republic has not yet commented on the subject.

As a reminder, the former minister was also a councilor of the Société Nouvelle de Coton New cotton company of Togo (NSCT).
