Christian Benteke scores again, DC United wins at New England Revolution (video)

Christian Benteke once again found the net in the North American MLS (Major League Soccer) championship on Saturday. The former Red Devil scored a goal for the third time in as many matches and his club DC United won 1-2 at New England Revolution.

Benteke brought his total of goals scored to 23 and consolidated his first place in the scorers’ ranking.

Dante Vanzeir and his New York Red Bulls club lost to Atlanta United (2-1). Vanzeir gave up his place on the hour mark while the score was still goalless.

The leader in the East, Inter Miami started the match in Toronto without Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez but narrowly won in added time (90th + 3) thanks to Leonardo Campana (0- 1).

In the standings, Inter Miami is guaranteed to finish first in the regular phase in the East. He has 71 points, 11 ahead of second-placed defending champion Columbus Crew. New York RB and DC United occupy 7th and 8th places with 47 and 40 points respectively. The New Yorkers are qualified for the playoffs.
