Andy Diouf reveals his ambitions with the Sang et Or and the French team!

In September, Andy Diouf, a promising player for the Espoirs team, had to give up his call-up due to an injury. However, he was recalled for the October gathering. His performance at the Olympic Games was marked by a silver medal.

Despite his injury, Diouf remains in Gérald Baticle’s plans for the national team. The young midfielder highlights the importance of achieving goals, whether with his club or in the national team. For him, group dynamics are essential to success.

Diouf shares that when he plays at the club, he devotes himself entirely to his performances. But as soon as the international break approaches, he focuses on the selection. “It’s true that there are different objectives, whether with the club or with the selection”he specifies.

The October gathering is crucial for Diouf, who is preparing for the qualifiers for the European U21 Championship. Two important matches are planned: a trip to Cyprus on October 11, followed by the reception of Austria on October 15.

Currently, the French team is in second position in Group H, three points behind Slovenia. The objective is clear: win first place to ensure qualification. The next matches will be decisive for the future of this young team.

Diouf insists on the importance of cohesion with the staff and his teammates, a factor which, according to him, greatly contributes to success. “We are starting to have a well-defined group, we know each other well”, he declares, emphasizing the importance of this unity.

For Diouf, each gathering is an opportunity to progress and contribute to the team. His determination to shine on the European stage is intact, and he hopes that his efforts will be rewarded on the pitch.
