Severac of Aveyron. The second National Caregivers Day will take place on October 8

the essential
After Pont-de-Salars last year, it is in Sévérac-le-Château that the meeting is organized, the initiative of the ADMR and the MSA.

At the ADMR federation and the MSA, we still have memories of the first edition of the caregivers’ fair. “There has only been positive feedback”enthuses Nicole Cristofari, president of the ADMR of Aveyron. It must be said that, more and more, and this type of event is part of it, the role of the caregiver goes less unnoticed. And is not forgotten. And that’s so much the better when we know that a recent study shows that, in the same age group, the mortality rate is 30% higher for a caregiver…

Theater and stands

“They need a breather. They also need to find themselves”launches Nicole Cristofari who, within the ADMR which she chairs, provides a valuable perspective on the support of caregivers. Proof of this is with the choice to organize this second edition of the national day in Séverac-le-Château. this follows a training cycle, the establishment of a third caregiver café in Aveyron after Ruthénois and Pont-de-Salars.

Like last year, a play tackling the subject will open in the afternoon. It is the MSA which is also in charge, with the troupe “In the company of Oliviers”. A troupe that will perform “Griottes et coccinelles”. “A piece intended to make people laugh but also intended to convey messages”explains Jean-Paul Vergelly of the MSA, who notably implemented the “Air Bubble” system on this principle. “ Several topics like celibacy of farmers, suicide and other topics can be addressed through a play” he explains, relating “the state of great suffering” which can be seen behind the walls of houses.

After this room, numerous stands run by various representatives of structures will allow caregivers to know the possibilities available to them to be able to breathe or be supported. The opportunity to emphasize that this meeting is for everyone. “To all categories of caregivers”insists the president of the ADMR. “Last year, the show ended with dancing with the caregivers”she laughs. Enough to demonstrate the important expectations of caregivers, often alone and confronted with themselves.

October 8 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Séverac-le-Château entertainment room. Free.
