A day to celebrate the bee this Sunday at Parc Phœnix in

The bee will be queen this Sunday at Phoenix Park. The City of has decided to honor this insect – small in size but large in the essential role it plays for biodiversity – tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Phœnix Park.

A day punctuated by numerous free activities throughout the park.

In the greenhouse, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., there will be Frescoes of climate, biodiversity and water. While in the outdoor areas of the park, there will be makeup workshops, the sale of honey and products from the hives of local producers, as well as stands and other workshops for the youngest, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. .

Show, workshops and giant quiz

The young audience show Mielline the Bee will be performed by the Annguéléïa Company, at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., in the outdoor auditorium.

In the Emeraude room, the exhibition of works from the school drawing competition of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, “Draw me the Bee Festival poster”, will be visible all day. You will also find different workshops there to create from recycled products or to make candles. Without forgetting honey tastings.

Finally, it will be possible to participate all day in a giant quiz on the world of bees and biodiversity, in the Linné room.

To extend this day and become knowledgeable about the world of bees, a conference is organized at the CUM, Monday October 7, at 3 p.m., with the theme: “Beekeeping yesterday and today”. It will be led by Martine Regert, research director at the CNRS cultures and environments, prehistory, antiquity and Middle Ages at the University of Nice Côte d’Azur and Léon Ducasse, beekeeper in Isola.
